Mountain Beaver, an endangered rodent , his own - Two-Tone Coffee Mug
The Mountain Beaver is a rodent, not a beaver. He and She live up and down the west coast of North America, burrowing him and her self into moist hillsides near the ocean or into other misty rainy wet terrain. He and She are vegetarians. One subspecies of Mountain Beaver is endangered, the subspecies called the Point Arena subspecies. The Point Reyes subspecies suffered greatly in the 1995 "Vision" fire, but has since rebounded nicely. Be nice to the mountain beaver, he and she are nice to you. Their ever busy and extensive tunneling make the terrain they're living in grow ever more bountiful and gives other creatures abandoned tunnels to call their home.
