This is a pet hate for many people, when you see loose and lose used in the wrong place, name mixing the two words up. For some this will be a passive aggressive reminder for other people. For others it could be an aide moi, so that they have the definitions in front of them. Totally not rude, no swear words therefore great for the office. Loose (Adjective) :- Not firmly or tightly fixed in place Detached or able to be detached. Lose (Verb) :- be deprived of or cease to have or retain (something). A great gift or present for any members of the grammar police.
