Latte Mug - 'The Raspberry Thief'
A number of years ago I nervously attended a mosaic workshop as I prepared to make a mosaic for the school I worked at. Despite my nerves, I really enjoyed the workshop and fell in love with the process. We had the opportunity to use a variety of coloured glass fragments - the kind of glass used in the beautiful Tiffany lamps. Being an avid admirer of the works of Arts and Crafts genius - William Morris - I based my small square mosaic design on his famous "Strawberry Thief" image. My strawberries looked more like raspberries so I named my work 'The Raspberry Thief'. I hope you enjoy this homage to William Morris and the beauty that coloured glass lends to an image.
