Hydrangea Blues Mug or Cup
Ah, I love all the summer shades of hydrangeas, both subtle and bright, whether it's creamy white, subtle pink, sky blue, deep pink, or bright blue. I had a chance to watch these hydrangeas evolve from a more mottled blue, with shades of cream and more pink, into vivid azure (or some might say cornflower or bluebell blue) in July. This plant was visible from several yards away, with so many amazing mounds of deep blue colors. I applied some painterly effects to my original hydrangea photo to deepen the colors and bring out the texture.
