Lockheed SR-71B Blackbird (61-7956/NASA 831) was a long-range, strategic reconnaissance aircraft that flew above the snow-covered Sierra Nevada mountains in 1994. This aircraft had a reduced radar cross-section and was capable of operating at high altitudes and speeds of up to 85,000 feet and Mach 3.2, respectively.
