Delightful Drowsiness by Paul Gauguin, Vintage Art Mug
Nave Nave Moe (Delightful Drowsiness) (1894) by Paul Gauguin is a vintage fine art post impressionism portrait painting. A sunny, lazy, summer day in Tahiti. Several sleepy native Tahitian women are having a picnic in a meadow by a tropical jungle.
About the artist:
Eugène Henri Paul Gauguin (1848-1903) was a leader in the Post Impressionist movement which extended Impressionism while rejecting its limitations. They used vivid colors, thick application of paint, distinctive brushstrokes and real-life subject matter, but were more inclined to emphasize geometric forms and to use unnatural or arbitrary color.
